The department is one of the primary contact centres for patients. It has an integrated approach to management of essential medical conditions including communicable and non-communicable diseases as well as medical emergencies.

Al the branches of Lakshmi hospital are well equipped to deal with all medical emergencies, round the clock. The department also initiates and implements National Health Programmes and Family Planning. Contraceptive advices are given to the masses through Medical Camps.

Awareness programmes also come under the purview of the department. Community Medicine Programs are carried out through house-to-house health visits and delivery of health care services on need basis.
